Frequently asked questions
Answers about earning cashback when you shop online and getting it into your bank or UPI.
How does online shopping cashback work?
When a cashback platform sends a shopper to an online store, the store pays it a commission for the sale. The platform shares most of that commission back with you as cashback on what you bought. You shop at the usual price, and the reward comes from the store's marketing budget rather than any extra charge to you.
Why does my cashback show as pending before it is confirmed?
Cashback starts as pending while the store checks that the order is genuine and the return or cancellation window has passed. Once the store confirms the sale, the amount moves from pending to confirmed and becomes available to withdraw. If you return or cancel the item, the related cashback is usually removed.
Can I withdraw cashback to my UPI or bank account?
Confirmed cashback can usually be withdrawn to a linked bank account or through UPI once it crosses any minimum payout the platform sets. You normally add and verify your payment details first, then request a transfer of the confirmed balance. Pending cashback cannot be withdrawn until the store has confirmed it.
How do I make sure my cashback actually tracks?
Start from the cashback platform and click through to the store in the same session so the visit is recorded. Turning off ad blockers for that click, avoiding coupon codes from other sources, and finishing the purchase without wandering off to other sites all help the sale register. If a transaction does not track, keep the order details so you can raise a missing-cashback request.
Is earning cashback on online shopping safe?
It is generally safe when you use a platform with clear rates and shop only at legitimate stores, because you pay the normal price and the reward comes from commission. You do not need to share sensitive banking passwords to earn cashback, only basic payout details to receive it. Treat any site that asks for your card PIN or an OTP in order to pay you as a warning sign.
